Legal Services on Patent Infringement: Case of Taiwan Zhenyu Optical Co., Ltd.

Taiwan Zhenyu Optical Co., Ltd. is the patentee of series of patents regarding the headband illuminated magnifier, and its products are sold well in Taiwan, Japan, Europe and North America. A company in Wenzhou, urged by a company from Japan, exploited these patents without any permit from the Taiwan company, leading to serious losses of the patentee. Therefore, the patentee appointed Mr. Chambers Yang to file a suit to Wenzhou Intermediate People’s Court. The hearing of the case has concluded recently, and parties have voluntarily entered into a settlement agreement under the management of the court, that the defendant shall stop its infringing acts, destroy all infringing products, make apologies and compensate for losses of the plaintiff.
